Starfish venture briefing kit
When you have applied for your Starfish venture, you will be sent your personal Briefing Kit. This gives you a comprehensive checklist of everything you need to know about your venture: what you will need to organize before you go, what to take, and what you will be doing on a day-to-day basis when you arrive at your venture destination. Your Starfish Venture Briefing Kit will make preparing for your venture both exciting and worry-free.

Airport pick up, transfers and stopovers
You will be met at Bangkok’s International Airport by one of our In-Country Co-ordinators who will then transfer you to your Venture destination by coach, train or plane. If a one night stopover in Bangkok is required before transferring the following morning, Starfish will take care of accommodation and travel in and out of the city.

In-country coordinator
Your In-Country Co-ordinator is your primary point of contact throughout the duration of your venture. They will be on hand to answer your questions and give you as much help as you require.

24-hour support service
In the unlikely event that you have any issues that you cannot resolve through your In Country Co-ordinator, Starfish also provides a 24-hour telephone and email support service. You will be able to discuss any problems with a Venture Manager who will work with the In-Country Co-ordinator to find a suitable solution. 

Accommodation
Your accommodation will be organised before your arrival at your venture destination and is included in the cost of your venture. It will be basic, clean and functional.
Accommodation differs from Venture to Venture. Information on each Venture ’s accommodation is included in volunteer’s Briefing Kit.  Alternatively please call and ask for more details.

Fully certified Starfish venture
Your Starfish venture has been fully certified by Starfish’s Venture Managers to ensure the volunteer program and living conditions are of a suitable standard and your work will be making the maximum impact for deserving causes.

Travel insurance
Fully comprehensive travel insurance is included as part of the cost of our ventures for EU members. This insurance includes sporting activities, such as scuba diving. The insurance is valid only for the duration of your venture but policy extensions are available if you wish to remain within Thailand after the completion of your venture. The full terms and conditions of the travel insurance policy are included in our volunteer's Briefing Kit.  Policies are e-mailed two weeks prior to the volunteer arrival date.
