Volunteer Opportunities
Starfish needs the support of child care professionals. This Venture is based in Surin and the local hospital has over 400 children registered at their Child Development Clinic. Children are have physically and mentally handicapped, physical disabilities, Down syndrome, Pervasive Deficit Disorder (PDD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD).

The hospital runs two weekly clinics for these children. Approximately 20-30 children attend the clinics. The hospital is lacking resources, manpower and the latest knowledge/practices on how to help these children. On average the children come from poor farming families and are cared for at home. The hospital staff are keen to start an outreach program which it is hoped our volunteers will assist launch.
