Summer Community Special

Volunteer Work Programs Thailand
Work with kids, plant trees, plant crops...learn about Elephants!
Surin is the province of elephants. It is famous throughout Thailand and beyond for its annual Elephant Round-Up.

Starfish helps the communities that look after the elephants. Our volunteers plant bamboo, wild grass and other crops to help feed the elephants during the dry season. Our work also extends to supporting the local community. A number of development projects have been planned. These include helping local schools, poor families and Government runs . projects such as child day care centres

Volunteer Travel and Fun
Volunteer work is held in the mornings and most afternoons you will have the opportunity to learn to control these magnificent creatures under the supervision of the elephant's handler, or mahout. Most afternoons you will take your elephant down to the river for a swim. After the heat of the day
elephants love to cool off and roll in the river. This is an amazing experience and you will remember this for the rest of your life.
