Volunteer Work Programs - Gibbon Rehabilitation
Starfish Ventures has formed a partnership with a Thai government organisation to assist in rehabilitating gibbons rescued from the tourist industry. Volunteers will learn all about gibbons and how they will support the centre’s work during their two week induction.

The gibbons, which are rescued from illegal tourist practices and from owners who cannot look after them adequately, cannot be released back into the wild until they have found a mate and started their own family.

Volunteer Travel and Fun
Volunteers help with the day to day running of the center, including animal feeding, cage cleaning and explaining the work of the center to the visiting tourists.

It is important to remember these animals are being rehabilitated for the wild. Volunteers are not allowed to touch the gibbons and safety guidelines and rules must be adhered to.

Rehabilitation is a long process. The whole process can take up to ten years.  Become a part of a long term program that return gibbons to the wild and increase their numbers.
